outstanding Commonwealth Scholar, earned his Masters degree in
Business Administration and Ph.D. from the Victoria
University, Melbourne, Australia. He also holds Masters
Degrees in Public Administration and Applied Economics from
Utkal University (India).
After a brilliant and
hugely successful career in the corporate sector with Fortune
500 companies such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd
(India), Kinhill Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (Australia) and BHP
Billiton (Australia) for about 15 years, Prof Mishra turned
his attention toward teaching. He was associated with Xavier
Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) as
Professor-Marketing and Coordinator Placement until 2005 and
Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur as
Adjunct Professor (Mktg) until 2007. Currently he is an
Adjunct Professor at Victoria University and Country Advisor
to RMIT University, Australia. Presently, besides his
extremely demanding teaching schedule in India (MDI, Gurgaon
& BIMTECH, Noida) and overseas (Australia, China,
Singapore, Malaysia, and
Bangladesh). |

British Chevening Scholar, is a Civil Engineer from Osmania
University and an IIM Calcutta alumnus. He is an expert in
Rural Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship, a field in
which he has pioneered successfully many projects. One among
these is the Power Sector Reforms Project whose novel approach
and immense success in the field prompted the Government of
India frame a national policy.
As a fresher from IIM-C,
Prof Rao had chosen to build a career in the rural field
instead of the much coveted corporate world, where his
contribution and zeal belied his youth and inexperience. He
turned to teaching in 1994, when he joined Xavier Institute of
Management, Bhubaneswar as Faculty and Coordinator of the
Center for Development Research & Training
(CENDERET).
He had a brilliant academic career for 15
years plus, during which time he consulted for many national
and international
organizations.
